The theme that runs through Glasven is the Scottish countryside and the love songs and poems of Robert Burns.  Lori composed all the music on this album in a traditional style, apart from tracks 6 and 9, which are traditional tunes, and also singly did everything on this album, from all the instrumentation and vocals, to the recording, mixing and the cover art. 

This is an entirely acoustic album, with acoustic guitar, flute and mandolin accompanying the vocals.
